Whalemouth is a comedian of the federal republic fondly called Comedic Rock star by his colleagues, he is of the AY Open Mic Winners, a multiple award winning comedian who is well rooted in the game of comedy. He is coming out with his own TV show soon which is called "Whalemouth side of Life"

Jazril drops Mujojo

He's young, fresh, energetic, versatile and has a very strong willpower to succeed. His names are Akindele Adeshina Ridwan stage name 'Jazril'; an Ibadan boy but born and had his childhood in the ancient city of Port Harcourt in Rivers State. In an attempt to bring back this lost Ibadan boy to his root, he was relocated to Ibadan at the age of ten (10) where he completed his secondary education, learnt the Yoruba language and found passion for music (rapping in his mother tongue) before he eventually relocated to Lagos.

Jazril is the second (2nd) child of four (4) kids and has been involved in music (skeletal) since 2002 - going in and out of studio pruning his musical prowess. He went further building muscles though participation in competitions, some of which are Sprite Triple Slam and Peak Talent Show. Jazril who loves to play football, break dancing and rapping draws his inspiration from staying in his hood especially the Ibadan caucus observing as things happen in the environment. He's a hardcore indigenous rapper with strong Yoruba flavour and presently signed to Femi Edwards' record label - Mayphem Records as her very first artiste.

The single 'mujojo' which means dance is a club banging dance track that will propel it's listeners to get to the dance floor and dance away their sorrow. The song came as an answer to a request from Jazril's friends to sing for them in order to kill their boredom; from just free styling for some few friends and now in the air waves for everyone to enjoy. Mujojo was produced by Bamstey of 2Bam Studio.

He's a big fan and supporter of the Comedy+ brand since inception. He has always done everything possible to feature at all Femi Edwards organized event regardless of where it's holding. He's born to reign, always thinking big and a king in the dance industry in Nigeria. He's the winner of the Lucozde Boost Freestyle II and has been making himself, family. Friends and fans proud doing his thing as a 'legendary dancer'. Today (June 2nd)

is his birthday and we celebrate him.

Rising Star: Dr Nell

He's the founder of Legendary Filmz - A Media company based in Lagos Nigeria; he's the CEO of Dr. Nell Video Labouratory; he's from Anambra state but born and bred in the coal city of Jos in Plateau state; he's the first son of six (6) children; a graduate of the Lagos State Polytechnic where he studied Business Studies; family relocation from Jos to Lagos in the year 2000 made him a Lagos resident where he picked interest in the career of Video Directing and Editing; his names are Emmanuel Chukwukadibia Asiegbu but popularly and professionally called Dr Nell.

Dr Nell chose the path of video directing out of a passion to keep quality memory of events alive after the event must have long gone. He said, "What is life without pictures? There would be no memories and nothing to remember at the end of  life events". Dr Nell started first as a cinematographer in his church then (Dominion City) in 2005 after which he hooked up with BIG Sal who mentored and tutored him in the act of Video production. He shot his first musical video in 2006 for GeeVee (then OGV) in a song titled 'my shadow' which featured Fredodido. The video didn't come out well but determination made him volunteer to shoot the video again in 2007 after which the video enjoyed a lil airplay across media houses. Its being shooting of one music video or the other ever since working with several other practitioners some of which are Adasa cookey squareball, Mr David Ayeni, Mex, Mattmax etc. TV commercials for companies isn't left out as well. Dr Nell went into film production as he shot his first movie last year titled 'One Night Stand'

Without doubt, it's being a very challenging journey for Dr Nell and one of the major challenge he has faced is the demand of an artiste for very quality video (beautiful girls, private jet, massive houses, exotic cars etc) yet with very little fund to work with.

The story and life of Dr Nell is that of 'testimonies that sound like lies', though not where he's going yet but definitely not where he used to be as God has moved him from grass to grace. Personality: Destalker

At the very beginning of my career in Entertainment journalism and Events Planning especially focusing on the Comedy sector of the industry; I met diverse people particularly comedians. Few of these comedians I always look forward to see them perform again and again and again. Cos it's never a dull moment with them. One of these people is OGHENEKOWHOYAN ONAIBE DESMOND popularly called DESTALKER. I met this guy during the planning of my very 1st show 'Sometimes In April' in 2011 and I can't forget his performance in a hurry cos he practically took the show home with him. As the day passes by, the guy kept increasing in his ability to deliver creatively packaged jokes to the excitement of his audience. He's known as the funniest, most prolific motivational comedian to be born in warri, Delta state. Destalker (also known by the title Otota1 of Africa) is an embodiment of talent plying his trade as an Em-cee, Comedian, Actor and Radio Presenter and Events Consultant.
Destalker as a name has evolved to create a niche in the entertainment industry; his business is simply communication by motivational speaking. In an effort to achieve the ideal product/service oriented success or just for product to make its impart in the market he has consistently worked with organizations like; Cadbury Nig., Footprints Communications, Etisalat, Fidelity Bank, Ecobank, Airtel and lots more. He worked with these brands on projects such as product branding, promotion and marketing of finished products and events anchoring in order for them to build a strong sustainable brand that is consumer friendly, which to him is journey not a destination.
He also has to his credit the official/host comedian " MTN Project Fame (Season 0.7), Jokes DAT Mattaz, Comedy Remedy, Comedy Happy Hour with D.Don on Rainbow FM, Laughter Crusade and has also graced the stage of Bunmi Davies' StandUp Nigeria.

Question: First major entry show or event and how it affected your career?

Answer: That was Comedy Goes 2 Church with Acapella, it brought us recognition particularly within the industry & the media. Meanwhile before then, we had graced several church platforms amongst which was Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners Chapel with a 50,000 capacity audience although we would rather not regard it as a major show.

Question: Your brand of performance is very unique.... comedians once in a while team up to do it occasionally but you have made it your signature and striving with it. What has been the Sustaining factor of your success?

Answer: Grace is what sustains along with the drive to be unique. Lagos has a comedy industry with the highest competitiveness with so many stand up comedians around town. So the question is, how do we come up & get noticed out of the entire pack? Come up with a Brand that is unique & stay stubborn with it.

Question: How has working as a team of 2 people affected your outings, schedule and engagement?

Answer: It’s easy. We live together, plan our schedule & move together to events except in cases where we had to anchor two separate events as two separate MCs.

Question: If you were to make recommendations for other comedians (upcoming or already established comedians), what would be your recommendation?

Answer: Our recommendation remains the same. We came into this industry to add value, spice & variety to what was already on the table, not precisely because we saw how much money Alibaba made from it. So to colleagues who have been there over the years & the ones who are new in the field, please strive always to add value by thinking out your own jokes rather than steal intellectual properties & polish your skills so you don't ruin people's events & shame our industry.
