Rising Star: Mc Soro Soro

Comedy business in recent time has become an interesting and a business for laughter makers as new talent are constantly discovered.
Daniel Williams,aka Mc Soro-Soro is one of Nigerian up coming Mc/comedian whose unique style of comedy is currently making weaves for.
Mc Soro-Soro is a native of Onna LGA in Akwa Ibom State. He was born and brought up in Lagos where he discovered his multiple talents in Playing Drumset,Keyboard, Singing, grooming choir, organising programmes, a Compere/Comedian and a consultant.

Today, Daniel is popularly known as a professional Mc/Comedian and has been in this field for 9yrs doing greatly in what he knows how to do best.

His unique and dynamic skill of bringing laughter into the face of comedy lover has  people brought him patronage as Master of Ceremony/stand-up comedian in all kinds of social/corporate events and church programmes from all part of the world.

He has performed for so many great men of God in Nigeria country and has on his own organised so many gospel comedy programme in churches and hosted many big names like Saka(I don port o), Evang.Charles Okafor, Keppy Ekpenyong,Tina Mba, Dauda, Akpororo, Mc Abbey, Igos, Elenu, Shakara, Emeka Smith, Ajebo, Acapella, De Don, Omobaba, Klint De Drunk, Koffi, AY, TEE-A  and others.

Personality of the week: GORDONS

Having gone through his biography,  with all pleasure we present to you Godwin Komone.  

Godwin Komone popularly known as Gordons,  is one Nigerian comedian who has contributed significantly to the comedy industry. 

He is from Urhobo Delta state and an Integrated Science graduate of  Delta State University (DELSU). 

Gordon's biography reveals that his motive for coming into the comedy industry was to make an impact by doing something different to create a niche for myself.                                          firstly,  he realized that comedy then was all about entertainment without education so he decided to bring a little bit of education into entertainment thereby creating psycho-comedy that will make people laugh and also make them  think. 

Godwin who has been married for over a decade now used to be part of the popular Made-in-Warri show, a brand owned by nollywoood super star, Richard Mofe-Damijo. While managing this show, Gordon earned the respect of being the first entertainer to have brought a foreign comedian, China Demos to perform in Nigeria. He also discovered young talents that featured in the show.

Gordon who hopes to become a brand ambassador base on the opportunities it provides has performed on Nigerian prominent platforms like the Made-in-Warri show, Presidency, an event had in attendance notable personalities within and outside the shore of Nigeria.

Faces we've missed V

This week again, we bring to you another two nollywood actors and actresses we have not seen in our recent home video.

Benita Nzeribe
Benita Nzeribe who has carved a niche for herself. In the industry started out as a teen star in Nollywood and later grew into adulthood long before the industry started experiencing the boom it now enjoys.

Benita who hails from Ihiala, Anambra State, back in the day was an ambassador to Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA),she also was starred in a Television commercial for the agency. Organized by the MD of the agency, Engineer Nnamdi Udoh, the TV commercial was shot at the Murtala Mohammed Airport.

She was starred in over 100 movies like; Sugar Boy, Girls cot, beyond our dreams, the one I trust and others. 

John Njama,
John Njama being the first born child in a family of five had his elementary education at Nigerian Navy Primary School in Lagos before he moved to Methodist College Nzeakoli. After his elementary education, he went further to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife to study Dramatic Arts.

This Indigine of Njaaba in Oru local Government of Imo State, is not just an actor but also an artiste and a producer whose work cuts across movie and television.

Njama started his acting career at a tender stage and has done some stage productions. He started with a local group called MONIDEX. After a brief stay with the group, he went to Chuck Mike's Collective Artistes where he had major productions.

Between 1989 - 1991, john had his first television production which was a children adventure series on the NTA Network belt. It was during one of his television shows that Amaka Igwe saw him and invited him to be part of Checkmate.

In 1991, John started his professional theatre career effectively.

Being a director and an actor, John has directed several stage plays like, Moremi, The Militant Preacher, Behold My Redeemer and others too numerous to remember. He was also the unit director of Fuji House Of Commotion, director of Laugh Patterns and so many other productions and for home videos. He has done quite a sizeable number of movies too, like Wicked Contact, Blast from the past, Dusty love and others.

John Njama's first professional award was a Hubert Ogunde Foundation Award for the best young actor, then in Port-Harcourt, and the Most Dynamic Actor Award. He was also nominated for the Best Supporting Actor severally and even for Best director and so on.
