Rising Star: OSHOSHOT

Osho shola Solomon popularly known as OSHOSHOt is a fast rising comedian.
known for his unique style of comedy which he refers to as musicomedy, singing alongside comedy.

This Lagos base indigine of Ogun State, discovered his talent in a dance drama Group "Profet Yakubu and the apostus"
Later decided to start comedy knowing fully well that his future lies in it.

Oshoshot being talented in his comedy field has officially performed on some naija prominent platform like; TREM(The redeemed Evangelical mission) EJIGBO at a yearly concert tagged PITH(praize in the house), Comedy Reloaded with Frank O'nero and Friends, Comedy Extravaganza wit mc Pamtop, MEGA's comedy show, mc Ajele and lots more, where he performed alongside Akpororo, Seyilaw, Pencil, Gordons,
BabahKay, Omobaba and others.

Personality of the week: KISS DANIEL

His performances and current awards has left us with no option than to crown him the personality of the week.
Kiss Daniels popularly known as Anidugbe Oluwatobiloba Daniel is one Nigerian artist whom we can loudly say is currently making weaves in the industry. He is an Afro-pop singer-songwriter,performer and entertainer best known for his chart-topping single "Woju".
Daniel is a graduate of Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology (Water Engineering)from federal university of agriculture, Abeokuta. While in university, he decided to pursue music as a career alongside his studies.
He started his music career professionally 2013 after his tertiary education, when he came across G-Worldwide Entertainment CEO, Emperor Geezy. After being signed to G-Worldwide entertainment, he released his first official single "Shoye" which was produced by Beatburx on May 1, 2014, along with a music video was directed by MEX. Daniel released his second single "Woju", produced by Dj Coublon on September 1, 2014. The video for Woju, released by Adasa Cookey, was shot in Lagos, Nigeria. The song spent eleven weeks on the MTV Base Official Naija Top Ten, including six weeks at the number one spot.

Daniel also recorded and released a remix of "Woju" featuring Tiwa Savage and Davido. "Woju" and its remix peaked at Number 1 and Number 2 respectively on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10, the first time that an original song and its remix would peak at the first and second positions on the chart.
In May 2015, Daniel released a third follow up single "Laye" on his birthday, along with a video two weeks later which was shot in different locations in eastern part of Africa and was directed by AJE FILMS.
In September 2015, Daniel won two awards within the space of three weeks.
He is currently signed to G-Worldwide Entertainment.

Rising Star: DANY PRAIZE

Our rising star for the week is Daniel Chibueze Iheukwumere popularly known as Danypraize.

He is an international gospel music minister, a worshipper, whose passion is to the to reach and minister to the world with good and spirit filled songs.
He has been previleged to ministere in some prominent platform in and and outside the country.

This Lagos based Abia state indigine from Eluama Isuikwato Local government to be precised, has shared the same platforms with the likes of Midnightcrew, buchi , Lara George, pastor Kunle ajayi, wole Oni to mention but a few, he has collaborated with great ministers too like Pat Uwaje King of Midnightcrew, psalmos, bukola bekes, Akpororo, to mention but a few.

Daniel's Ebubedike video where he featured KPEACE is still trending on YouTube ND tv stations,he has two albums to He's credit I GO PRAISE JEHOVAH And GRATITUDE. He just released a new single titled YOU Are Mighty he featured Another worshipper Efe Nathan.... Watch out for more

Faces we've MISSED IV

There absence left us with nothing but memories of their roles, indeed we miss them. Here are two other nollywood stars we've missed on our recent home videos.

Hilda Dokubo

Hilda Dokubo was born as Hilda Dokubo Mrakpor. She is an actress, known for Black Maria, End of the Wicked and Onye-Eze. Hilda hails from Buguma in Asari Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.
She is a graduate of Theatre Arts from University of Port Harcourt, where she also acquired her masters degree in Theatre Education.

Few years ago, she left the industry not for politics but to give back to the society by working with young people. While in her duty, she was appointed as Special Adviser (SA) to the former governor of
Rivers state, Governor Peter Odili.

Hilda Dokubo also runs a Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO, which uses creative arts to improve the
lives of the young people in the society.
She is married with two sons

Charles Okafor


Charles Ezechukwu Okafor who is the fourth in a family of six hails from Umuleri in Anambra State. He is a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Port Harcourt.
 
Just like Oliver Twist always want some more, the Promising Charles proceeded to the University of Lagos to pursue a masters degree in Political Science and International.
While working at Security & Exchange Commission, he featured in a Soap Opera tagged "MemorialHospital" which he played a lead role. He has since then, featured in many popular Nollywood films amongst which includes; Lost Kingdom 1 & 2,End of Wicked, Conspiracy, Mothering Sunday,King of forest, Blood Billionaire, Executive Connection. Across the River, Forest of Promises and others.

Aside what he's known for, he has contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria Movie Industry as Director and Producer of various movies through his Outfit called C&E Production. As a Producer, he has directed and produced these popular films: Ocean Deep 1&2, Sting 1&2 and many others.

Personality of the week: FEMI KUTI

Talking about entertainment oldies, Olufela Olufemi Anikulapo Kuti, popularly known as Femi Kuti, is a Nigerian afro beat singer whose style of music is unique.
Femi was born on the 16th of June 1962, born in London and raised in Lagos. He is the eldest son of afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. and a grandchild of a political campaigner, women's rights activist and traditional aristocrat Funmilayo Ransome Kuti.

Femi Kuti's musical career started when he began playing in his father's band, Egypt 80. In 1986, Femi started his own band, Positive Force, and began establishing himself as an artist independent of his father's massive legacy.

Just as his biography reveals, Femi's first record was released in 1995 by Tabu/Motown, followed four years later by Shoki Shoki (MCA), which garnered widespread critical acclaim. In 2001 he collaborated with Common Mos Def and Jaguar Wright on Fight to Win, an effort to cross over to a mainstream audience, and started touring the United States with Jane’s Addiction. In 2004 he opened The Shrine, his club, where he recorded the live album Africa Shrine. After a 4-year absence due to personal setbacks, he re-emerged in 2008 with Day by Day and Africa for Africa in 2010, for which he received two Grammy nominations. In 2012 he was both inducted into the Headies Hall of Fame (the most prestigious music awards in Nigeria), was the opening act on the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ European arena tour and became an Ambassador for Amnesty International. He continues to expand the diversity of his artistry on his new album (2013) No Place for My Dream. Femi Kuti was a judge on Nigeria’s huge TV show Nigerian Idol Season

Like his father, Femi has shown a strong commitment to social and political causes throughout his career. He has been nominated for a Grammy award four times in the world music category in 2003, 2010, 2012 and 2013 but has never won.
