Oldies: Babatunde Omidina 'Baba Suwe'

When we talk about entertainment Oldies, Babatunde Omidina popularly know as Baba Suwe is one of Nigerian comic actor whose impact has been felt in the industry. Babatunde Omidina is a Nigerian actor, producer and comedian who majors in Yoruba movies. He was born on the 22nd of  August 1958 in Lagos Island where he grew up but hails from Ikorodu local government area of Lagos State, southwestern Nigeria. Baba Suwe's acting career began acting In 1972 but came into limelight after he featured in a movie titled 'Omolasan', a film produced by Obalende.  He became more popular after he featured in 'Iru Esin', produced by Olaiya Igwe in 1997.
He has crossed several hurdles and challenges and yet come out strong to remain on top of his game. From drug issues with NDLEA to the loss of his wife Omoladun; murder accusation from her daughter and also the loss of his lawyer Bamidele Aturu; yet he has come out tall to remain the most preferred Yoruba comic actor.
Babatunde has featured and produced several Nigerian movies such as Baba Jaiye jaiye, a movie that featured Funke Akindele and Femi Adebayo, the son of the veteran actor Adebayo Salami.
