Personality of the week: BOVI

The comedy industry is filled with potential comedians whose unique style of jokes differentiate one from another. Bovi Ugboma, is one of  Nigerian comedian whose intelligent and political style of jokes has been making waves and this stands him out as a unique act to watch and listen to anytime. Bovi Ugboma, known as  Akpos was born on the 25th day of September 1979  in Benin City, where he attended UNIBEN staff schools. He attended secondary school at Ughelli North in Delta State and proceeded to Delta State University where he studied Theatre Arts.
Bovie, is a Nigerian  Movie producer, Director, Written Actor and Comedian. He came into limelight, following his role as Akpos, on comedian AY's who wants to be a millionaire comedy skit. Bovi Ugboma's career  began  in April 2007, starring in the sitcom Extend Family, which he produced, wrote, and packaged. The show was very popular and by 2008, Bovi was leading comedy shows and events throughout Nigeria. He participated in Nite of 1000 Laughs organized by Opa Williams. Bovi has worked alongside other Nigerian comedians such as I Go Dye, I Go Save, Basketmouth, Buchi, Okey Bakassi, Julius Agwu and others. He has featured in almost all the big comedy concerts in Nigeria and a host of others outside the shores of Nigeria.


Currently he is the CEO of Kountry Kulture Networks Ltd, a production house with bias for television, film and events. He was also said to be among the Top ten best and most Funny Nigerian comedians.Bovi has won several awards such as; Ghana comedian of the year, Standup Comedians Award, Best Youth Comedian, and more. He is currently married to his wife, Christabel Ugboma and their marriage is blessed with two kids.

As he celebrates his birthday this week, Comedy+ Magazine wishes him more success in his future endeavour.
